The Kentler International Drawing
Space is a not-for-profit visual arts gallery that is dedicated to presenting drawings
and works on paper by local, national and international artists as part of the cultural fabric of the community. The gallery
was founded in 1990 by two artists and continues to be a vital space for innovative
exhibitions and events. The level of success would not be possible without
the generous time and commitment donated by Kentler's Board members, Advisory Board
and staff.

In the body of the email briefly state your interest in the gallery and
the level of experience you have. Please attach a current resumé
if one is available.
Gallery Assistants gain experience in all aspects
of Art Administration,
and administration of a NON-PROFIT GALLERY.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with coordination of exhibitions, special events and opening receptions.
• Working with artists, gallery sitting and engaging the public with the
exhibitions.
• Maintaining database of The Kentler Flatfiles.
• Mailing list
maintenance.
• Web site management.
• Grants research.
• Coordination of mailings.
• Working with the director in running all aspects of the gallery.
The Kentler International Drawing Space is looking for a highly motivated
person with an interest in the arts.
He/she must be detail-oriented, have
strong writing and communication skills, and some computer knowledge of
Word, Excel. (Filemaker Pro. Previous graphic experience is helpful. Will
train.)
Gallery Assistants work with us 8 - 12 hours per week on Thursday, Friday,
Saturday or Sunday-in fall, winter, spring and summer. The gallery is closed in January and August.
