& WORKS ON PAPER EXHIBITION PROPOSALS Kentler
is
dedicated to bringing important and timely contemporary art to the public,
by local national and international artists, as part of the cultural fabric
of a community. The gallery is a non-profit artist-run space which presents
exhibitions and installations of Drawings and Work on Paper. Using
the means and accessibility of drawing and paper as a basis, artists are
invited to experiment, explore and expand the definitions and the parameters
of drawing and art. A flatfile of work on paper is available for viewing
by artists, curators, collectors and the general public. •
Artists,
collaborators and curators are invited to send proposals.
KENTLER FLATFILES The Kentler Flatfiles are an essential element of the gallery since its founding in 1990. The Flatfiles, a compendium of artworks by over 90 artists, have become an important resource for artists, collectors, curators and the general public by stressing the importance of drawing and work on paper in contemporary art today. Invited curators make selections from the flatfiles for exhibitions in our new space on a rotating basis. The Kentler has a Satellite Flatfile at Proteus Gowanus with a focus on Artists' Prints. The Kentler reviews work, on an ongoing basis, to be considered for the Flatfiles. Interested artists must first submit jpegs of their work by email along with the information below. Kentler
