DRAWINGS & WORKS ON PAPER

EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

Kentler is dedicated to bringing important and timely contemporary art to the public, by local national and international artists, as part of the cultural fabric of a community. The gallery is a non-profit artist-run space which presents exhibitions and installations of Drawings and Work on Paper. Using the means and accessibility of drawing and paper as a basis, artists are invited to experiment, explore and expand the definitions and the parameters of drawing and art. A flatfile of work on paper is available for viewing by artists, curators, collectors and the general public.

The Kentler Advisory Board meets twice a year to review the incoming proposals. Exhibitions are scheduled a year in advance. (Proposal due dates: September 1 or February 1)

Artists, collaborators and curators are invited to send proposals.
Artists /Curators interested in submitting a proposal are encouraged to visit the gallery space prior to submittal.

oooooooooIncludes one to two paragraphs describing your proposal and how it relates to the Kentler drawing space.

       2)    8 jpeg images of work relating to the proposed exhibit / (no more than 1240 x 1240 pixels)
       3)    Image description: Title, medium, size, date (Word document)
       4)    Resumé or bio (Word document)

THE KENTLER FLATFILES

THE KENTLER FLATFILES are an essential element of the gallery since its founding in 1990. The Flatfiles, a compendium of artworks by more than140 artists, have become an important resource for artists, collectors, curators and the general public by stressing the importance of drawing and work on paper in contemporary art today. Invited curators make selections from the flatfiles for exhibitions in our new space on a rotating basis.

The Kentler reviews work, on an ongoing basis, to be considered for the Flatfiles. Interested artists must first submit jpegs of their work by email along with the information below.
