THE KENTLER FLATFILES

        The Kentler Flatfiles are an essential element of the gallery since its founding in 1990. The Flatfiles, a compendium of artworks by over 140 artists, have become an important resource for artists, collectors, curators and the general public by stressing the importance of drawing and work on paper in contemporary art today. Invited curators make selections from the flatfiles for exhibitions in our new space on a rotating basis.

        The Kentler has a Satellite Flatfile at Proteus Gowanus with a focus on Artists' Prints.

Kentler reviews work to be considered for the Flatfiles on an ongoing basis. Interested artists must first submit jpegs of their work by email along with the information below. Please allow time for response.

Kentler Flatfiles Review:
Please include your name, email, day telephone, and mailing address on the top of each text page.

       1)   8 jpeg images of drawings / works on paper (no more than 1240 x 1240 pixels)
       2)   Image description: Title, medium, size, date (Word document)
       3)   Resumé or bio (Word document)
       4)   Following review of submissions, the gallery may contact you for a portfolio review. Please allow time for review as this is an ongoing program.
