A Group Exhibition Celebrates the Creative Coast

Jackie Lima brings together a group of 19 artists who depict the landscape adjacent to the East River in their works of varied media.

The waterfront neighborhoods have always attracted artists who were drawn to the waterfront for their wide views, loft spaces, and the quality of its light. DUMBO was the area first settled by loft pioneers; Williamsburg soon followed and Red Hook positioned as the next art zone in Brooklyn. Imagery offered in the show include harbor views, the Statue of Liberty, the Bridges, industrial or street scenes and the ever-present, always changing East River.  Works include etchings, paintings in watercolor, oil, acrylic, video and photography.
